Where to buy things:

PX doesn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t always have the greatest deal on 220 V appliances or electronics or furniture, so some German stores are: ~Real (kind of like Walmart) ~Media Markt (kind of like Best Buy) ~OBI (kind of like Ace Hardware, Lowe?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s, Home Depot) ~IKEA, same as IKEA from back home!
Random Things about Germany:
~Watching TV online (through hulu or http://www.facebook.com/l/881b6mkpYmJ-FStAfO2r2QXSvOw;abc.com or even Netflix instant play) does not work here. However, if you download an IP address hider you can sometimes get them to work, hulu seems to be catching these things more often.
~You can still order DVDs from Netflix, the turn around time is just longer.
~The Kristall Inn (hotel on post) gets very full! Make reservations before you come here or get your sponsor to. Otherwise you will be staying off post.
~The moving crews here are allowed to drink beer on the job, so we had some soda and beers for them when they were moving us in, they seemed to like it!
~There is no AC here, anywhere, buy fans!
